Good morning Cali. A smile formed on Avalon's maw. And who is this? He said this very softly, but couldn't keep himself from chuckling as the the little colt leaped to his feet and darted behind his dam. Avalon took another few steps back, the colt was clearly very nervous. He lowered his head, trying to get a better look at his son. Avalon's grin grew wider, and he looked up at Cali. He's beautiful, Cali. As much as he wanted to, Avalon wouldn't let himself go to Cali's side, the colt didn't know him, and his approach would likely frighten him. Avalon would wait until the colt approached him instead.

Her grin matched his. Her heart was bursting with love. She could hardly contain it. Good morning sweetheart. This is Strawberry Daiquiri. He is beautiful, isn't he? Cali smiled at her foal. She gave his gentle nudges on the flank until he moved toward his sire. Daiquiri, this is Avalon, your sire. She smiled up at her love, morning sun casting a beautiful pink on everything in it's wake.
Daiquiri stumbled forward, clumsy foal legs not helping much. He stopped in front of the huge stag. Good morning sir. Daiquiri used his newly learned manners. Avalon was huge anyway, so he would be polite, too intimidated by size to disobey.

Daiquir Avalon thought. A nice name. I have never seen a finer colt Cali. Avalon lowered his head until it was close to the height of his son's. He smiled at Daiquiri. No need to call me 'sir' little one. And don't be frightened, I wouldn't harm you. Avalon felt a little sorry for his son. There where no other foals in their herd. Still, Avalon knew Daiquiri would find a way to keep himself busy. Avalon looked toward Daiquiri. You could call me Avalon, if you wish. Or whatever you like. He smiled again, and nudged the colt affectionately. He trotted overnto Cali, and groomed her, lovingly. Do you feel alright? Nothing's wrong? Avalon was a little nervous. Cali appeared to be just fine, but he wanted to make sure she was alright.

The sun lazily crawled across the sky as it turned a light yellow instead if the pink morning sun it had been a couple of hours ago. The tiny family played on their white beach. Cali reared and lunged, bucked and ran. The mare plunged through the water, the clear warm spring water. She snorted at it, blowing little ripples all around. She was happy to be together with her little herd.
Daiquiri clumsily trotted around. Trot, run, fall, snort; he almost had a routine. The curious colt trotted up to the water's edge and snorted at it. He hadn't seen water yet in his life. The fine silky sand gave way at the uneven weight of the colt, leaving him flopping in the warm liquid. He squealed, feeling the sensation of being wet. He flopped around, trying to compose himself. Once he did, he walked around in the water, inspecting it. Daiquiri spotted colorful fish. The colt dipped his nose into the water and blew air at the creatures. Bubbles filled the area, fish swimming everywhere. Daiquiri squealed and ran out of the water when he felt a fish hit his leg. He ran straight to his sire. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAVALON! What are those things?! He picked up a strange scent.
The raging coal black brute ran with his head in the air, blowing air out viciously. He sprinted right up to Avalon and struck out at the sky. What happened to my mares, brute?! Thayer spat the words at the other stag, spotting a tiny colt. Don't worry, I'm not here for them. He nodded to the mare and colt. For some reason, my three mares have disappeared. Do you have any involvement in this?! Thayer's heart fille with rage and hate, pushing all the love and loss away for now. His mares were gone and he was getting them back. No.Matter.What.

Avalon was in front of the black brute in a second. He waited for the stag to come down to all fours then spoke. I can assure you, I nor any other of the lights have any thing to do with your mares dissapearance. If you look around, you will not see nor smell your mares here. Avalon spoke calmly. He had no bussiness with this stallion and waited for him to cool down some. Avalon remained in a relaxed, yet alert stance. None of the Light herds have taken your mares. My appologies for your temporary loss, but there is not much, if anything in my power I can do. If I where you, I would return to your land and wait for a time. Search for them, they can't be too far. He watched the Dark stag calmly, waiting. I'm sure this is uinlike them, but they could have wandered into other Dark lands. Perhaps you could check there. He nodded to Thayer.

Black orbs searched chocolate ones. All rage instantly drained from him. All that was left was the feeling of loss. He was exhausted from everything. Thayer sighed and dropped his head. Ok. For some reason, I believe you. I know you don't owe me anything, but it would be highly appreciated ithat if you see them anywhere, please, tell me. The stag searched for Avalon's reaction, doubting any Light would do him a favor. He sighed and slowly started back towards his lands.
Who was that? Daiquiri could tell he wasn't good by seeing his black orbs. The colt's eyes wandered over to where Cali was. She looked paralyzed. Daiquiri galloped over to his dam and nudged at he leg. What's wrong?
She stood stock still the whole time he was here. He didn't even try anything. Why did he come? Hazel orbs met littler ones reading the curiosity in Daiquiri. Nothing honey. He's just not a good horse, that's all. Cali nuzzled her colt comfortingly. She looked over to Avalon, searching his emotion. The fae walked over to him. Babe, what did he want? She nodded over to the departing stag.

Avalon watched Thayer sulk off his lands. He felt a bit sorry for him, but it didn't last long. With a sight he turned back to his family. Nuzzling Cali, he spoke. His three mares have dissapeared. He came to see if I or any other of the Lights had taken them. Nothing to worry about, but he asked me to let him know if I see them. Perhaps I will, but I doubt they will come anywhere near Light lands. He turned toward Daiquiri. And those, Avalon said snorting into the water, are fish. They won't hurt you. Fish are more afaraid of you then you are of them. He chuckled, and using his frornt hoof, gently splashed the colt with water.

Oh. That's odd. Cali wondered what could've happened. Oh well, she had other things to worry about. The mare watched in joy as her stag and colt played with the water. She giggled. Cali walked over to them and splashed both of them.
Daiquiri snorted at the water. The colt giggled at the water as both of his parents splashed. The colt stomped down on the water surface with both of his front hooves, splashing all of them. He giggled again agin galloped into the water.

I agree. Avlon said to Cali, as she splashed him with sea water. He splashed her in return, sending a small wave crashing over her boyce. Avalon moved out deeper, until he was in up to his shoulder. Suddenly, the sand vanished from beneath his hooves. Avalon's head dunked beneath the surface, as the salty water engulfed him, spinning his this way and that before he was able to surface. Spitting salt water from his maw, Avalon swam back toward his fae and colt, smiling, though still a little startled. Drop off. Not a big one, but it took me off gaurd. Nothing to be concerned about, but Daiquiri, don't go out too deep. You are too young, and the current is quite strong. Avalon's soggy mane hung over his neck, forelock covering chocolate orbs. He chuckled and stood knee-deep in the shallows, shaking his mane from his face.

Cali blinked, wide eyed, at what just happened. Oh my gosh! Are you alright?! The fae observed him with worry all over her face. Drop offs can kill anything unsuspecting. Legs kick freely, joyfully floating around in lukewarm salt water. Then, out of the blue, the land drops from underneath you, sending you down in shock, filling your lungs with water. Cali was horrified at the thought, her nature leaning heavy on the side of precaution.
Daiquiri stared as his sire disapeared from view. He seemed alright though, so he snorted as the wam water Avalon shook from his crest speckled his fluffy foal coat with water. Are there fish out there? The colt cocked his head in curiosity and looked at Avalon with a total puzzled look on his face, in his eyes.

Perfectly fine Cali. A bit water logged perhaps, but nothing more. Avalon shook his head, trying to rid the excess water. He nuzzled her, then looked at Daiquiri. Avalon chuckled. And no fish. Just a spot where..the land gives way to water. Completely. He couldn't think of another way to explain so he would understand. Avalon stepped from the water, snatching grass from the field. The sand turned a deep beige from the water dripping off his boyce. Avalon's hooves sunk into the sand as he gazed up toward the sky. Nearly a full day had passed, and on the horizon another spring storm was brewing. Avalon sighed. He disliked rain, it made everything so..wet. Soggy. He shook his head. Thankfully the clouds where a light gray. They would bring rain, but not for long. He started toward the cave. Come along now. We don't want to get as wet as we did last time. He shot a teasing look at Cali and then picked up the pace.

Cali snickered and grinned. That was a memory! Yes we better go. Come little one! The fae walked behind her offspring, protecting from anything to threaten him. Her mind wandered on the long walk. She had contained a happy memory. The dark cloud was weakening. She obviously held memories, but before, they had all been traumatizing. This family would help her. This was the first time she got around to having a goal, afterall. That meant this was the longest time she had been in a herd. Cali smiled and looked forward to her little colt, the package of only the joy of the sire and dam. To her stag, the brute that stole her heart and sired her first foal, love combined. She grinned.
Daiquiri frowned lightly at his response. The fish did scare him at first, but now he realized there were nice creatures. The colors of them hypnotized him as the swam around and randomly flicked colors. The little colt followed his sire obediently, wandering slightly, but not enough to get in trouble. He raised his head, smelling something. The fumes registered in his brain and he realized there were three horses approaching.
Artemisia raised her head high, forelock and mane flying wildly in her eyes. Chocolate orbs wide, showing white circles surrounding the chocolate in harmony. Her nostrils widened hugely, inhaling the smells. She could sense three horses close. A stag fae and their colt. Come on you two, I found help! Artemisia yelled back to her foals, trotting forward. When she was at a little distance, she stopped and waited for her offspring. The colt saw them and alerted his sire and dam. The mare waited, wide-eyed, for the help to come.
Vi trotted along behind her dam, tripping ever so often, getting better in age. She wasn't looking, and she ran into the back of Artemisia. Vi grunted and flew back, out of her dam's way. When she looked up, she caught a glipse of another colt. He was strawberry roan and looked younger than her. She stepped closer to see better, but stayed very close to her mother's side.
Klee was frolicking along his mother's side, being as carefree as ever. He could not sense the urgency of her mission. Head down, he ran into a tree and fell down. STUPID TREE! YOU GET IN MY WAY! He had problems with running into trees. Klee looked over and saw his sister and dam standing, staring, curiously. He trotted over and looked. A huge sorrel stag led the little herd, a young strawberry roan colt behind with his big gray dam trailing behind. He whinnied at the alert colt, wanting to play. Artemisia turned and quick nipped at him, not wanting to blow their chances at help.

Avalon trotted into the cave entrance, Cali and Daiquiri close on his heals. He turned and instantly caught a scent coming in on the wind. It was fae, presumably Light, and her offspring. Three scents total. Looking up at the sky, Avalon could see the clouds rolling in, still light in color thankfully. Wait here, I won't be long. He said gently to his family. Stepping out of the cave, Avalon spotted his visitors. Sure enough, it was a fae and two foals, one a colt, the other a filly. He frowned, wondering why they where here. Concerned creasing his face, Avalon trotted toward them, stopping when he saw the babies fearful looks. Flicking his harks, he attempted to find any sort of thing that would have driven them away from their herd. Nothing. Avalon lowered his head, trying to look un-threatening. Hello. He said softly. May I ask what has brought you here? There is rain coming, surely you noticed. Avalon nodded up at the sky. I am Avalon, by the way. Would you care to join my family and I? There is a cave a short ways from here where we shetler during storms. He looked at the fae curiously, with her two foals at her side, something must have happened if she had had to leave her home. Pardon my prying, but may I ask your names? He gave a small, friendly smile. Avalon shook his head. The rain was starting to come down, and the wind was picking up, sending trees swaying dangerously. Apparently this was going to be quite a wind storm. Nevermind answering now, we can chat more when we are safer! Avalon turned and trotted briskly toward their haven, turning frequently to see if the mare was following safely. Each time his mane blew into his face, the wind even ruffled the short summer coat on his boyce. Hearing a crack, he turned to see a small tree fall nearby. Avalon whinnied, asking the strangers to hurry. He could see the welcoming entrance of the cave. Better wind than rain. He thought with a sigh.
OOC: Holy muse. xD

Artemisia relaxed her stance as she found no threat from the stag. The fae and her foals followed fearfully behind Avalon as they did not enjoy the rain or wind. As the tree fell, she whinnied and flew forward, realizing her babies were not beside her. Head turned sharply, soggy mane and forelock flew into her sight. She shook herself to rid of the obscurities in her eyesight. The poring rain plus the whipping wind forced her mane back into her eyes. Artemisia shook her head again and held it high looking around. Tiny squeals were coming from the direction of the forest. Avalon, wait! I think my filly is in trouble! She looked over to him, making sure he heard. Klee was right behind him trying to shelter from the storm. Artemisia charged over to where the squeals were coming from. A little hoof was caught underneath the little trunk of the tree. Don't worry Vi! Artemisia looked at the little filly in horror. She hoped it wasn't broken, it didn't appear to be. The fae shoved the tree off of her baby's hoof, freeing Vi. Come dear, we have to hurry! They advanced back to where Avalon was, ready to move to shelter.
Squeals wildly clawed their way out of her throat. Vi's little hoof was caught under the tiny tree that had fallen from the storm. Her dam came, excitedly, she tried to wiggle out from under the tree, unsuccessful. She waited impatiently as Artemisia freed her. The mare started trotting back to the strangely big stag ad Vi followed behind.
Klee heard the squeals but was too cold to try and help, he was too small to be of much help to anyone anyway. The colt followed behind Avalon as they trotted to shelter only to find they had stopped to wait for his dam. In a couple of minutes Artemisia was trotting back to them, Vi on her heels. Klee whinnied and lunged to his sister, nuzzling her affectionately. The group starting moving again.

Avalon skidded to stop hearing the fae's call. He turned, trying to keep her little colt safer from the wind. The mare's filly had her hoof caught under the fallen tree. The mare freed the foal easily, so Avalon rushed them inside tue cave, now just a few feet away. He shook his soggy mane now entirely soaked and knotted. My appologies, I should have kept you safer. I presume every one is alright? He glanced around his small group. The rain had died, but the wind was howling like a wild dog and Avalon could hear the crack of falling branches every now and again. He looked over the tiny filly. Her leg appeared completely unharmed. That was a relief. Now, He sighed. May I ask your names? Sorry, I am forgetting my manners. This is Cali and our colt, Daiquiri. Avalon moved tonthe opposite side of Cali, doing his best to shield her and the rest from the wind that found its way past the entrance. Avalon's coat was already soaked, and he managed to keep the most of the wind out. Avalon swishes his tail against the wind. He lowered his head so it was even with Daiquiri's and said quietly. Perhaps you ought to say hello once we get this sorted out. Avalon smiled slightly. He hoped this was a chance to make friends, for Cali and him as well as for Daiquiri. Avalon lifted his head to normal height and glanced out at the storm. Rain was just a sprinkle, but the wind had the ocean waves several feet higher than normal. He listened to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, then turned to Cali once more. Sorry, dear, for the suddenness of this visit, but they needed some place to shelter. He said this too softly for anyone but Cali to hear, he didn't want to offend their visitors, but he wanted to inform Cali as well.

Cali looked around warily at the guests until Avalon whispered to her. Oh no, it's quite alright. Chocolate orbs scanned the company. They were all different shades of gold, hinting at the Light side. They were also short but it didn't make a difference. Cali was happy to have company to keep them all warm.
Little hazel orbs met two sets of other ones. They were both gold and looked older than him. Eyes danced with the glee of play, legs wanting to spring forward, lunging into the two. The colt was obedient, though.
Artemisia ducked her head. Nice to meet you Cali, Daiquiri. The fae turned back to Avalon. Yes, everything is alright now. I am Artemisia, lead mare of the Mauris herd. Jasper and I are the parents of these two. Vi is the filly and Klee is the colt. She motioned to her foals. There is another mare, Mystique, and her foal back at our lands. I am the lead mare, so I should be the protector, but I have found myself searching for help. Artemisia ducked her head again in embarrassement.
Umber orbs met others. Daiquiri was younger, yet taller, than her. The shy filly hid behind her mother, but ducked underneath her stomach. Orbs met agin. Vi could see the playfullness in his eyes, and returned it with an alluring glance. The filly snorted then giggled.
Klee looked around, bored with the adult's small talk. The colt wandered over to his siter and also ducked underneath Artemisia's stomach. Klee could see the two giggling. What's so funny?! Klee held an annoyed look. He always needed to know what was going on. His expression made Daiquiri and Vi laugh even harder, enough to make Artemisia send a scolding look their way.

Avalon's eyes took on a surprised look. My sister! He exclaimed. He hadn't herd from Mystique in quite a while. Well, perhaps I should rephrase that. We all grew up the same herd, and where close enough to be sisters. He shook his head. Enough of my gibberish. No need to be embarrassed. Now what happened to send you looking for help? I assume everyone is safe though. He thought of Mystique. Certainly ae to take care of herself, but still. Did the Darks have something to do with this? Avalon's harks flattened against his skull and his voice hardened. Had they dared break apart a herd? He relaxed his posture, no need to get so angry, he told himself. A frown creased Avalon's face. And what on earth happened to Jasper? It wouldn't be right to just leave his mares. Avalon herd some giggles coming from below him. He lowered his head and looked Daiquiri straight in the eye. He could play all he wanted when they got this mess straitened out, but now the adults needed some time to discuss this.

Artemisia looked up, suprised. Well I sahll be telling Mystique that I found you! Artemisia smiled. Yes, that's just it. I don't know where Jasper went. I'm worried. Orbs lost their light and drooped, thinking about losing Jasper.
Daiquiri looked up at Avalon. Orbs immediatly dropped back down to the ground, harks sideways. He did not desire to be a disturbance. Orbs looked up and shared playfullness with Vi.

Concern sparked in Avalon's chocolate orbs. That's...odd. He couldn't think to say it another way. Would you like to stay here with us? You are most welcome here. Of course, you may want to return home. Entirely understandable. But at least stay the night, it has been quite the day. Avalon poked his head outside. The clouds where gone, they had been talking quite a while. The evening sun was low in the sky but there would be daylight for a good while longer. He glanced at Daiquiri, who was still flirting with Vi, the other colt still trying to join in whatever they where doing. Avalon chuckled and stepped outside. And perhaps we should let them play for a bit. There is still time before nightfall. He glanced at the foals, still full of energy waiting to be used. Just as long as they don't stray too far. He said, looking pointedly at Daiquiri.

Yes, quite odd. We shall stay at least tonight if it is okay with you three; and yes I agree. the mare turned to Vi and Klee. Go ahead you guys. She smiled as the bounded off. Artemisia directed her attention back to Avalon and his mare. So how are you two faring, if you don't mind me asking? Polite curiosity sparkled in expressive hazel orbs.
Vi giggled and trotted away, looking back at Daiquiri and her brother. Come on guys! As they started moving, she bounded off to the sand. The fine granules felt funny to walk on. The filly sniffed the ground and rolled. When she got up, she shook sand all over the colts that had found their way over there, sprinting away.
Klee laughed at his sister as she rolled. He saw her sprint off, but ventured over to the coastline. He smelled the wet sand, taking it in. Klee stomped at the water, presuming it safe. The colt took little steps in, eventually bouncing around, splashing everything around.
Daiquiri watched as Vi sprinted and Klee splashed. The colt decided a filly would be better to play with so he gave chase to the filly. Vi was fast. Daiquiri got so far behind on his baby legs he lost sight of her. Head down, he found her trail and picked up a trot, following it. He spotted her golden boyce in the trees. Daiquiri snuck up to her, but she could tell he was there. Vi ran off back to the beach, daring him to follow.
