I walk out of the woods. The large clearing is covered with snow. Pawing at the white fluffy cold stuff, I lose my train of thought and forget the cold, and empty world around me...
I’ve been traveling for a while and my legs ache with the strain of constant walking. Lethargically, I sniff the snow searching for even a scrap of grass or wild grain to eat. I don’t find much in the immediate area, but what I do find is a small relief. The clearing has fallen silent and the sun has begun to set. Soon I find myself falling into the wonderful world of sleep…
A long time has passed and I have spent many moons here. The sun warms my black coat and I munch on beautiful lush grass.

(Just remember, you have to do at least 100 words. What you wrote is only 41. And when you are here, the land is neutral, it doesn't belong to anyone so there is no Dark/Light side.)

Nostrils flared and harks twisted and turned, a golden pelt shimmered under the winter sun. He had taken a little walk while Artemisia rested. The stallion could smell yet another mare. Chocolate orbs caressed the landscape, searching for the mare. He trotted down the hill to search on foot, constantly sniffing the air. When he emerged from the trees he was greeted by tall grasses and the silhouette of a mare not far away. He slowly made his way through the grass but stopped at a comfortable distance. He did not want to scare the mare away, so he kept his distance. "Hello there, my name is Jasper. If you don't mind me asking, what is a mare like your self doing in such a dangerous place?"

Lyrah's head perked up. Her elegant ears turning towards the stallion. "Hello." She nickered in greeting. "I am Lyrah..." She sized him up her eyes taking in the much larger Equine. "I have just been wandering the past few months." She admitted. She flicked her forelock out of her eyes with a quick toss of her head. She began to wonder if she could out run this stallion before her, if he decided to claim her and she did not want him. She knew that she couldn’t take him in a fight but she could certainly try her very best.

Harks twisted around as Jasper surveyed the area, making sure no predators were around, this was the time of year that the predators were coming out. The stallion could plainly see that the mare was couscous of him, as rouge mare should be of a stallion like Jasper. He lowered his head slightly and relaxed his boyce to show that he was not a threat. Yes, the golden stag could fight off almost any creature, but he was also kind and sweet. "Well, I have lands not far from here, if you wish to join you may, or you can continue on. There are also herds just north and south of here as well."

Thayer was talking with his mares when he heard another conversation going on. Who was that? A stallion and a mare! His mares stayed behind while he went to see what was going on. He trotted steathily up to the two. "What is this?" He adressed mainly to the stallion. "A light stallion and a dark mare?!" Thayer was uppalled! A light stallion shouldn't be anywhere near a dark mare! Especially now. Now when there might only be four darks left!

Jasper flicked his harks, annoyed with the black stallion. "She may be a dark but it is she who decides whom she goes with" Jasper could tell that on the inside she was not like most dark mares, she was kind and sweet. The golden stallion didn't care if she was dark or not.

Thayer stood steady as the light talked. He laughed to himself. "And who do you think she'd pick? Her kind or her enemy?" This was a joke. Who did he think he was? Does he really think she'd pick a light? Yeah, right. Darks have to unite right now. She knows that. What a naive little stallion!
