Jasper trotted onto his favorite hill and reared, letting out a call. He wanted to foals to meet and play, and the mares could use with some time for fun.

Artemisia trotted in, head tossing, with two little foals following behind. The fae went up to Jasper, nuzzling him affectionately. She turned to Klee and Vi. They were already romping around, Klee always the one chasing Vi. She giggled.

Mystique wandered in, Naia at her side, wondering what her leader was calling about. She spotted Jasper atop a low rise, Artemisia near by with the foals playing below. She nudged Naia off to play, and bobbed her head in greeting to the two leaders.
Naia bounded off eagerly toward the other foals. She hadn't met them yet, but she wasn't shy about making friends. She skidded to a halt a few feet from where they where chasing one another and cIckes her head, watching curiously. The sun danced off her light buckskin coat as she stood her gaze flashing between her dam and the colt and filly romping around nearby.

Nodded in greeting to the next mare and foal to enter "Hello there Mystique, I thought that the foals would like to meet and play." The gold stag smiled as the Klee chased Vi and Naia watched.

Mystique smiled. Good to see you back, Jasper. The lead stallion had been absent from his lands for quite some time. As she spoke she noted the stallion had a good deal of cuts and other wounds scattered around his boyce. What happened to you? Mystique asked, her voice a mix of curiosity and a touch of concern. What or who would he have been fighting? She wondered silently to herself. They marks didn't look like that from a predator animal, more like equine bites and kicks. Mystique puzzled over this for a few moments. She hadn't heard of any Darks attacking, or of any conflict with other Light herds.

"It's good to be back" Jasper gave a small sad smile "Just taking care of business before it happened" He was still sore and stiff from all the fighting, but he was up and moving.

Mystique nodded, knowing the stallion wasn't telling the entire truth. It was clear he had been fighting, and the mare could tell Jasper was still a bit stiff in his movements. Are you going to tell us who you where fighting? Mystiqe wasnt entirely sure the stag would, and if he didn't she's just leave it at that. She swiped a bit of grass and munched on it, waiting for Jasper's response.

She stood with Mystique. Still mad at him for all that nonsense. As much as she tried, though, she couldn't stay mad for long intervals. She loved him and that always got in the way of anger. Artemisia watched Jasper with judgement in her eye.
Klee charged up to Naia. The colt bounded and kicked, reared and squealed. He stopped dead. What's you're name? He pawed at the ground, wanting to run around with her.
She trotted around with her twin until another filly came. Vi watched her wearily as she cane over by them. Klee, of course, ran right up to her and started talking to her. The filly watched as he asked her name, Vi wondering herself. The filly walked up to them, joining the conversation.

Jasper sighed and upon seeing the look on Artemisia's face, lowered his head. "Alright, news from the lands north of DBL came, light horses had been disappearing. When I herd that, I left, I'm sorry I didn't tell you all." a look of sadness crossed his face "I arrived and gathered as many lights as I could and fought. The darks were sending assassins and slowly killing all lights, so my group and I fought for over a week and luckily were successful."

Mystique's eyes widened a bit. Well, you darn lucky... She trailed off and sighed. Horses sending assassins. Who would have thought? She shook her head. At least all of them where safe. White Boyce glistened in the late sun as Jasper finished off his story.
Naia looked straight back at the colt and then at his twin. I'm Naia. Who are you? The fillybwas eager to get over the introducings, she wanted to play. Naia was quick filly but she knew the colt would be too. Even so, she loved to race and would challenge anyone.

Eyes dropped to the ground. This was not unusual to her. They could never get too dark, they would always be getting worse. She looked at Jasper, sharing her feeling with a single glance. I agree Jasper. It may have been nessicary, but next time, be more careful. Please? Solemness took over. Chocolate orbs met his, pleading.
I'm Klee and my sister is Vi. Now we can play! The eager colt grinned widely, squealing and bucking off, challenging them to follow him. He wanted to test her. She needed to be good enough to play with. Speed of lightning, he raced all around, not tiring at all.
Her eyes looked between Naia and Klee who had lunged away as fast as a hummingbird. The filly looked at Naia, they could both tell they were going to run too. Power built in her baby hindquarters, lunging forward like a spring, she instantly caught up to her brother. They chased around, daring the other filly.

Naia watched the tow siblings rush off, daring her to follow. A little baby smirk crossed her maw, looking more like a smile than anything else. The little filly took off, darting past them and catching up and keeping up with ease. Small as she may be, Naia was faster than both of the other foal, but just by a bit. Still she enjoyed the play. In all her rushing, she leaped up, higher than ever and landed on her side in the grass. Using gangly legs to get back up, Naia bolted off challenging them to a short race. She took of toward the little rise, turning sharply when you got there.

"Alright, I'm sorry if I worried you two." He was glad that they were not to mad with him, just concerned. He was also glad to see that the foals were playing and seemed to be enjoying them-selves.

He relaxed as he said this, making her relax also. He still looked very bad. The wounds would take some time to heal. He seemed to move and live fine though, so Artemisia's immediate worry was vanishing. All is forgiven. I know how opinionated you are. She smiled at him, getting happier as the days wore on.
Klee watched in awe as she passed them with ease. He struggled to push faster, digging deep. They were almost even, him just a little bit lagging. He couldn't dig any deeper, his breeding wasn't entirely for running. He snorted as he used everything to stay by her.
Vi was bucking gingerly as the trio ran. She was behind, not wanting to burn herself out. As she starter to see lag in the two, she tore off, hooves digging deep into the soft soil, powering her forward. The filly was ahead of Klee but even with Naia. She could tell the filly was faster than her, but those two had worn more energy than she had. Vi turned to smirk at Naia as she pushed harder, breezing with the wind, total ecstasy blowing her legs faster and faster. Head up in the air, she giggled.

Mystique shifted to a more relaxed posture than she had been holding. She sighed. I forgive you as well. He maw tugged up into a sort of half smile.
Naia turned her head away from the tiring Klee only to find Vi catching up on the outside. Slowly, very slowly the little filly gained a few inches ahead. Naia flattened her ears in determination. Stretching out her little slender legs, she pushed harder and gained back the lead though not by much. Naia skidded to a halt in front of a slowly trickling stream bed. She bent taking a quick drink before she lifted her crest and waited for Klee to make his way over.

Vi couldn't stop as fast as the other filly had. Momentum built strong in her, resistance not as strong. By the time she realized Naia had stopped, the filly was flying over the stream. Legs stretched, she landed perfectly. It was simple for her. Vi had inherited a gift for jumping somewhere inbetween her sire and dam. She skidded to a halt on the other side of the river, pivoting on a dime. Little hazel orbs met two astonished expressions. She smirked.
Klee was now about two feet behind them. Naia had stopped to drink and his twin actually jumped the river. He was next to Naia now, complete surprise evident on his face, seeing Vi. Jealousy swarmed inside him. She was faster and she could jump. He would show her. The little colt pivoted and charged forward, aiming for a fallen tree, about two feet in height and width. The river Vi jumped was five feet in width but had no scope. What? You guys chickens? He looked behind him, tree separating him and the fillies.

Naia noticed the Vi's cocky smirk, and Naia gave her one just like it. The filly turned so she was facing the river and from a standstill, leaped lightly over. It took a lot of power, almost more than the filly had, but she cleared with some room to spare. She landed lightly on the bank and stood next to Vi, waiting to see if Klee would follow. I'm not chicken. And I don't think Vi is either. Are you? Naia glanced at the other filly, trying to hold back a giggle caused by the look on Klee's face. Naia asked the last question in a teasing sort of way, waiting to see if the colt would jump the stream as easily and without hesitation. She figured he would, didn't look like the type to let two fillies beat him in any way. Or at least try to keep them from beating him. Naia noted that she and Vi where probabaly faster than the colt, until he got older that is.

She giggled along with her half sister. They stood on opposite side of the river as Klee, waiting for him. Oh daaaaaahling! Of course not! She looked to Naia, laughing together. Light and graceful as a skilled ballerina, she floated over the stream, grazing daintily on the grass. She stayed alert, ready for a challenge.
He watched, not completely impressed. Klee cantered, controlled, to a hedge. Aren't going to let me win are you? He looked back at them quickly before he leaped the three foot, height and depth, foliage. Slowing to a walk, he turned around, cool and calm, to wait for the fillies to take the bait.

Naia snickered slightly and bounded back over the stream bed landing a few feet from where Klee was heading. She watched as her half brother bounced over an obtsacle about four feet high. Naia was a good jumper, but she hadn't ever jumped anything so high. Still, the buckskin filly was far to stubborn to wimp out. He cantared toward the make shift jump and leaped high into the air, Naia cleared it ruffling a leaf with the breeze she created. She carefully noted that she had only cleared it by a few inches, also taking note of the height. She figured she could jump higher when fully rested, but for the moment this was as high as she felt like going. Landing without a fault, Naia turned and gave Klee a teasing grin. She looked at Vi. The filly was deffinately built for jumping, but so was her brother, as was Naia. though her boddy srtucture was stockier like her mother's more pony like. Naia knew her mother was quite strong, and assumed that was where her structure came into play. Nope. Naia stated, answering Klee's earlier question. She gave up on trying to figure out where an equine's strength came from, not concerned enough to mull over it oo long. Play was far more interesting.

He watched her, actually happy. Competitiveness gone, he smiled at her. Klee nibbles the grass quickly, coming up with a fluffed forelock. Very good job, I might add. He watched as his sister came bounding toward them, no concern at all in her expression.
She scoffed. This was the eat he could do? Cockiness sparkled in her orbs, measuring the obstacle. Vi leaped, clearing it with too much ease. She landed in front of them and smiled. Well, that was a nice warm-up She laughed at them. She could do much better, after resting. The filly started walking back to the clearing their sire and dams were. They needed a rest so she could try to max out her foal scope.
