Iris had her head down and her hooves kept a steady pace, the mare seemed invisible. She was depressed, leaving her herd because everyone picked on her and she was sick of it! Why couldn't she find a stallion that could protect her from thoe harsh comments. Her mother always told her that the others picked on her because they were jealous, but that still didn't make Iris feel better. The grey mare stopped, raising her head, what was that sound?

Avalon totted forward, picking up the sent of mare. He stopped a distance away, so as not to scare her. Avalon gave a friendly smile and lowered his head showing he meant no harm. Hello, I am Avalon. Who might you be, and why are you here all alone? He studied the pretty fae, a light gray Arabian. You are not in a herd are you? He asked, aready guessing the mare's response. If you wish, you can join my herd. My lands are down south a ways. He shook his head, sending his silky mane flying. He took a few slow steps closer, getting to know her sent. You are most certainly welcome to accompany me. Cali, my lead mare, will be glad for more company, as would I. He lifted his head slighlty, harks pricked forward in a friendly way.

The fae was catous of the stallion, but he seemed nice "I don't know, what is your herd like?" Iris really wanted to be in a herd, but not one that was overly large. Her voice only held sweetness, but she still feared rejection from the mares in the herd.

Avalon gave a friendly smile. My herd is very small. Right now it's just me, my lead mare, and our colt, Daiquiri. Avalon swished his tail driving some annoying flies away. Avalon cuckled at the thought of the playful colt. We would be happy for a new member, but of course, you free to do what you wish. He flicked his harks. Flies plus the summer heat were not a good combination.
