Faith broke her steady cantar down to a walk. She lowered her head, and grabbed a mouthful of the green grass, scarce but not immpossible to find in the mountains. She hadnt realised how far or how long she had traveled. The sun was setting, and she was a long way from her favored cave. Faith's black boyce stretched and wove along the steep path. Keeping her sure feet clear of the last of the ice, she came a cross a cave with a small entrance. She thought she could smell the faint scent of another equine, Light like herself. It was old, so she ducked inside. It was much taller on the inside, and she settled down just by the entrance. Thanks to her years of travel in the mountains, the cold ground did not phase her. She worried some that the stallion they had been here would find her here, but that did not last long, as she fell quickly asleep. She sighed contently, feeling the familiar cold ground of the cave she had left behind beneath her.

Thayer was exploring the lands surrounding his when he smelled a mare. He kept his nose to the ground as he followed the scent. The scent trail led him to a cave. Harks pricked, he looked around. Nothing. Thayer decided to go into the cave. He found the black boyce of a mare. The mare that left the scent trail. Such a pretty mare! "Hello? What is a vixen like you doing in here?" Thayer looked around at the cave. It was a nice place. Tall. Cozy. Maybe he should check here for mares more often. "It's not the best idea to isolate yourself in a cave..." Thayer trailed off. He didn't want to scare her away, not that he'd let her escape, he just wanted to warn her. What a rookie mistake. She must be young.

Jasper was out on one of his usual walks when he herd a dark stallion talking to a fae. He trotted to the cave and stood not far from the dark. "That's no way to speak to a mare, especially a light mare." The black stallion was taller than Jasper, but the gold stag had him beat in the muscle department. "Now I suggest you leave her alone to do as she wishes."

Thayer heard something. What was it? A....horse? He listened to the light stallion talk. "Well now. Look who we have here! Why don't you let her talk for herself? Right now is not a good time for a light to be messing with any of us. You should just leave." Thayer had to look down to see him. He lengthened himself even more. A tall thouroughbred was much more intimidating than any other. Harks pinned, he stood in between the mare and the stallion.

The golden stag wanted to laugh his head off at the dark stallion. Did he think he was really that intimidating? A lengthy, stick boned Thoroughbred? Jasper could break his sorry excuse for legs in one second flat. "I don't think so, not until this mare is safe! Though no one here would mind if you disappeared like the rest of the darks!" His words held slightly concealed venom. Usually he would not act this way around a mare, but he knew how dark brutes where. They were pain in the butts!

Thayer grunted. "That's a sorry excuse for a threat, if that even could be considered one." He thought back to Lilly and Anya. He couldn't let anything happen to them. Maybe he shouldn't have left them. Lilly was a skilled fighter though, but so was Thayer. He relaxed his stance and gave the gold brute a cocky glance. "If you don't leave, I might have to step on you." His words were soaked in a mocking tone. He glared at the light.

Silverpelt trotted in. It looked like a light stallion and a dark stallion were being fussy with each other. Well, a dark stallion, that's a rare sight! He walked up to the pretty mare. Hi, there. I'm Silverpelt, a light stallion. Looking for a herd, are you? I have a couple mares. And a nice mountain home.

Thayer watched as another light brute came right up to the mare. "Sure of ourselves, are we?" He couldn't believe he did that! How rude! Thayer was here first! Light horses are so annoying!

"Hey Silverpelt, do you want me to stay and help with this guy" He said nodding toward the dark brute, "or can you handle him your self?"

Thayer laughed. "Aw does poor little Silverpelt need help from his little pony friend?" Thayer was dripping sarcasm. He couldn't help it. That was just him. He looked over at the mare, making sure she didnt try and escape. Thayer certainly wasn't going to let that happen!

Faith let out a sigh in annoyance. You truly thought you had trapped me Dark? There is a second entrance. I am not that foolish. Faith turned and vanished, reapearing moment later outside the cave near the gray stallion. She had heard of the golden one, Jasper, but of the gray, who introduced himself as Silverpelt. I am Faith. she said sofly to the gray. She looked at the tall Dark stallion., eyeing his slender build. Perhaps you should stick to your fields and not the mountains, yes? You wont want to injure those legs of yours now would you? As fearless as she may seem, Faith was a bit nervous, the dark was rather stubborn. I would be happy to join your her, if that is to be considered an invitation. she said to Silverpelt. She wondered if they should run, with the Dark distracted. The golden one would certainly be able to leave the thoroughbred, he was not all suited for the rugged terrain. They could all ignore the stallion and leave. He would not catch them. She shook her head in distaste. Darks, she thought. So ignorant at times.

Hm. Well that is one disadvantage to not knowing the area. "Fine. Go have fun in your little world of rainbows and fairies. Just know, I'm not gone. Never was, never will be. Darks will be back. Stronger than before." Thayer threw a stiff nod at the golden brute and walked out of the cave. He looked behind him as he made his way back to Fire and Ice, making sure they didn't know where his land was.

Silverpelt was delighted with his clever plan. You would be very welcome. I know Aleta and Dancer would be delighted with a new mare joining the herd. He flicked his ears toards the two bickering hotheads. (OOC lol!) Thanks, Jasper, for keeping Mr. So Very Important's attention. Sil chuckled and turned towards his lovely new fae. Come, i'll take you to my herd. I think you'll like it!

Faith watched the departing stallion with a look of amusement on her delicate face. She sighed, knowing the Darks would make a comeback. At least for now they were too weak to attack. It would be suicide with all the Lights around. She turned toward the two stallions. Thank you, for your help. Though I fear that Dark is right, they will get stronger, it may only be a matter of time. From what little I have heard, there are only about five of them, give or take. She nodded to Jasper, then turned toward Silverpelt. Lead the way. Home. She thought, tossing her silky black mane. At last!
OOC: Where do we continue this, in "the Arrowheads home of the Silverlight herd"?
